Day Trippers: From Serenity to the Sea
Start your adventure with a visit to Richmond’s beautiful and serene International Buddhist Temple. From there, we’ll take a quick trip to explore the fascinating Gulf of Georgia Cannery.
Then take a short stroll along Steveston Village’s waterfront and chose from a variety of restaurants to enjoy a delicious lunch at your own cost.

Very Merry Berry Tea
The McKee Special Event Volunteers are once again hosting an afternoon tea to honour our 90+ young members. This FREE workshop is brought to you by Self-Management BC of the University of Victoria Institute on Aging and Lifelong Health. The course provides information and teaches practical skills to give people the confidence and motivation to manage the challenges of living with pain. Day Trippers: Abbotsford Tulip Festival
Our trip will start at Abbotsford’s Clay Cottage where you’ll pick a piece of clay to design and paint. Climb back on the bus and we’ll head to the Tulip Festival! Choose your lunch (at your own cost) from one of five food trucks on site and enjoy it sitting among the fields, bursting with over 100 varieties of tulips. The fields may be wet and uneven, please dress accordingly.
The bus will leave McKee at 8am and return at approximately 3:15pm. Members only.
The $46 price includes transportation and Tulip Festival admission. The cost of pottery pieces is not included; prices start at $10. Lunch, approximately $15, is also not included.
